Ray is just different, he seeks expansion, glory and his greed is much more developed than his sociopathic personality.
I wanted him to be somehow the embodiment of all that is bad in a person or creature. He is bad cuz he chose it, this the only reason he wants to live. Tayra really captured what I wanted and she knows the character well!
