Embryss is a Red Wolf species Arkborne, aged approximately 54 in human years. A resident of the Aerenian wastelands and manufacturing forges of The Tricauldron, Embryss is a gifted individual, whom on the surface comes off as lazy and snarky, but possesses immense engineering and mechanical knowledge as a legendary gunsmith. He was often picked on at an early age for wanting to use his intellect to help the marginalized, and peer pressure from his warmongering community under the Theocracy forced him into an obsession with firearms and killing. His childhood friends Leukrot and Rignyr often stood up for him, and the three served together in the Apostacy Rift War as Oarsmen in the same unit, while they concealed a sexual relationship with one another away from the eyes of their superiors. After they and their allies betrayed their government to save the world from its murderous intentions, Embryss was beaten close to death by a superior during a battle and had his tail cut off before Leukrot came to his rescue. Having gotten married and leaving society to start a mercenary company, Embryss, Leukrot and Rignyr start a small family and adopt a young man named Lartarus. While they are hiding from the claws of the Talon bounty hunters, Embryss conceals the fact that another adversary is pursuing him; a grieving mother and Druid whom seeks to kill him for the weapons he crafted that slaughtered her many children and people. Embryss secretly seeks to rectify this skeleton in his closet; as he is pursued by this foe who can transform into a fearsome beast, he seeks to create the ultimate weapon that will defy her speed and put her angry soul to rest in the hopes of moving on with his life.

Embryss' intellect is almost to a degree unnatural; having fire-based Grapheia etched into his internal tissues gave him the innate ability to creatively and mechanically perceive and reverse-engineer almost anything, similar to the fire god of craftsmanship, Oukratus. Embryss' colossal intellect is often veiled by his lax and easygoing personality, as well as his love of puns and dad jokes. He is also skilled with firearms, handguns in particular, and wields them in a manner like a Western gunslinger and practitioner of gunkata. He has a strange sleek spinal construct called Wyespark permanently fused to his back that bears a prehensile tail that can enhance his gunshots with fire magic as well as be used as an appendage because of the three-fingered hand on the end of it.

A "silver fox" as we would call it in our existence, Embryss is popular with the ladies, but they are often confused or repulsed by the fact that he is married to another man and is pansexual. While he flirts with others, Embryss is truly loyal to his husbands Leukrot and Rignyr in the end...aside from the fact that he is on the run from an adversary that he wronged that could potentially drive a wedge through their marriage. Embryss bears his pistols and manipulation of fire magic in their fight against the Simuraroc and others and seeks to redeem himself internally for the role his weapons played in the horrors committed by their time under the Oarsmen.
