Lindsay is a fairly cautious predator. A lot of prey protect themselves by moving in large groups, and since Lindsay isn't the biggest, strongest pred out there (though she's still a lot bigger than most mice), that's a pretty effective defense against her. She tends to bide her time, waiting for the appropriate moment to single out stragglers, waiting to strike until she knows that her prey is alone and helpless.
However, Lindsay also isn't perfect. Sometimes she misinterprets a situation, which can make for awkward moments like this.

Yeah, not all preds start out naturally gifted with a large capacity - most have to train their bodies for it. So no better catalyst than being forced to dive straight into a large meal!
I'm sure many seasoned preds have a similar starting story. Such newbie rites of passage are worth a chuckle at the local pred hangout ^^

In any of your world settings, I feel the richest people in them are the ones making and selling smokebombs. They would be like the apple of our world.
Get caught eating someones sister? SMOKEBOMB AND WADDLE AWAY!
Get cornered by a pred? SMOKEBOMB AND LEG IT!
Hell, is your pray moving in groups? SMOKEBOMB RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE AND SNATCH ONE UP!

This trope always confused me, if a prey’s sibling, friend, lover, etc. just vanishes, why is their first instinct to go solo from the group to ask the nearest, fullest pred if they had seen their sibling, friend, lover, etc.? That’s just asking to be seconds. That being said it’s gotta be one of my favorite vore tropes ever, because it leads to funny awkward moments like this. XD

Honestly, this is one of those tropes that's funny, but doesn't make a lot of sense. Though, I do think the intent here is supposed to be that the sibling is walking up behind Lindsay and hasn't noticed her gut yet.
Thanks! Lindsay is a fun character to draw, I had fun doing this. I really need to nail down her fur pattern better, though. XP
