Black and white interior art for Pielander #0. Ready for color and lettering. I plan on painting all the pages first, then coloring digitally.

"I am Connor McClown of the Clan McClown.
My life is myth. I am an archetype. And I am a hero.
And today I have a job to do...
lives to protect...
A crowd to entertain."

I've got a complete script written for issue #0. It's currently going through editorial rounds for characterization and dialogue, but the action is pretty much finalized. This becomes a set-up for a 4-issue arc. I'd like to get it published and to that end, I'm working up a pitch kit.
One of my goals, though, is to have issue #0 complete in time for New York City Comic Con this fall so I can print up a handful of portfolio comp books to give to editors. Demonstrating both my artistic style and skill as well as my writing abilities.

If the quality of this is anything to go by then you're already in with a good chance - this looks very professional, exactly the sort of thing I would expect to see in a graphic novel on the shelf of a comic store. Intriguing concept for the story as well.
Not that it means much, but I'd buy a copy based on spec.
I can only wish you the best of luck in hooking a prospective buyer for the idea. Rooting for you!

Bull Riding! Well. Rodeo clowning. What ever. I like. I used to have a friend who competed in bull riding.
I'm loving the style that you've adopted for this. Where the back ground that has texture and is a little grungy, is just as important as the pictures of preparation. Maybe this is my love for pen and ink work coming out, but there is enough contrast in these images, that I don't think you really need the color in it. Then again, to all his (Or her) own.
