Very interesting.
I can see you are very passiontate about the skulls. All that detail!
One would do well to do a little more looking into the way fabric behaves and getting a bit bolder with the shadows in this case to help define the form better and create a greater sense of mystery.

I used a "pencil" and some "watercolor pencils" when i did this pic and sadly i didn't get the BG as dark as i wanted it to be
