So this is a bit of a funny thing... The very talented
chinchy drew me this little sketch of Hoopy having little patience for me working overtime, and that same idea then got turned into a very fun little patreon story flash fiction by
jeevestheroo As they're kind of related and I am a bit lazy, I am posting both in the same thing - besides, it's always nice to have a little story blurb to go along with a picture so... Enjoy!

Hoopy is
bakerbun's character
This vignette was written for Maniko by Jeeves Bunny as their Patreon flash fiction reward for November. It contains macro related destruction and romantic cuteness between consenting adults. :3
Maniko sighed as he glanced at the clock on the bottom right corner of his computer screen. He glanced up from his desk, peering around to the small opening of his cubicle, and of course saw nothing but the grey, featureless wall of another cubicle beyond a short stretch of open but utterly empty and uninteresting dull green carpeted floor. It was approaching the holiday season, and yet there wasn't a trace of festive cheer to be found anywhere in the office. Indeed the whole team were working overtime, though they knew they weren't going to receive overtime rates when their monthly pay rolled around, with no respite in sight as their bosses insisted that more hard work was required if they were going to turn a profit in these 'challenging' economic circumstances.
The rabbit sighed, and sank back into his chair as he turned his attention back to the dull, monotonous work at hand. Frankly he didn't give a shit about the company's profit, at least not in the same way his bosses did, bolstering their shares and making them look good to the even higher ups who would sign off on their bonuses come the year's end. But, so long as this job was here he and his colleagues no doubt all needed it, and much as he might have enjoyed the idea of working from home for a while instead, his employers insisted that productivity was better when everyone worked from the office, free from the distractions of things like loved ones, fun, and direct sunlight to remind them of the passage of time and just how long they'd been spending making money for other people already vastly richer than themselves.
A moment later though, for the first time since his scheduled lunch break over five hours ago, Maniko was given a genuine reason to think about anything other than his work. He heard a gasp from way across the cubicle-packed office, then another, and another. He heard voices murmuring in a spreading chorus, until finally, just as the whispers began to reach him, he felt the first tremor shake not just the floor beneath his feet but the entire building on whose uppermost floor he and his colleagues were situated.
"...something coming!"
"...so big!"
"...impossible!"
He only caught the tail ends of his colleagues' murmurs before one of their bosses emerged from his office and cleared his throat firmly.
"Okay everyone, back to work. I don't know what that was, if it was a minor earthquake or something, but unless we're informed of there being any risk to us or this building, we're going to stay calm and stay focused. No chatter!"
His voice rang out like that of a dull history teacher Maniko remembered from back in his youth, but before the rabbit could do more than begin to roll his eyes, the rumbling grew louder. The building shook more violently still, and several outright screams and far more vocal cries erupted from the side of the building where there were actual windows looking out onto the street far below.
"Alright, alright stay calm! Remember to back up your documents, and..."
The boss continued to call out, but he didn't even manage to finish his latest attempt to keep his team focused on their work before with an ear-splitting crack, the roof of the building was ripped clean off from above them. People screamed. Even the boss screamed. In fact, in the entire building there was only one person not screaming their head off in terror as a vast, cream furred and green padded paw tore the roof off and tossed it far, far away like a concrete and steel girdered frisbee. Maniko giggled, and grinned from ear to ear as he watched the roof fly away, before turning his gaze towards the huge head and shoulders looming over the building.
A pair of colossal radar-dish like ears twitched, turning towards the sound of his laughter, and a pair of bright green eyes followed a moment later. A muzzle full of sharp, feline-like teeth grinned warmly, and a booming yet playful voice called out as that huge hand responsible for ripping the roof off extended a single digit, and lowered it towards Maniko's cubicle.
"Oops, my finger slipped."
The giant figure boomed as his fingertip crushed Maniko's desk, his computer, and crumpled the wall of his cubicle and the next one along. The occupant of the next cubicle fled, and from close by Maniko could hear his boss yelling over the thunderous giggles of the vast macro-fur.
"This is an outrage! You can't just burst in here and..."
Maniko watched the huge figure roll their eyes, and shift that same finger over slightly. He didn't see the impact as his boss was catapulted across the office floor by a single tiny flick from that fingertip, but he did hear the undeniable cheer from the rest of his fellow employees. Within seconds, the giant creature was flattening each and every one of their desks and workstations, and all it took was Maniko himself trotting out of the remains of his cubicle and over to a particular door across the office to let the giant creature know where to turn his attentions next. A whole palm crushed the interior of the server-room flat as a pancake, and with all their data and local backups irretrievably ruined in a manner that would take the company weeks, if not months to recover from, the huge figure turned their hand over so their palm was facing up, and beckoned with a fingertip for Maniko to scramble up onto it.
The rabbit did so gleefully, and soon he was being lifted up into the air as his colleagues cheered and whooped for their giant, mysterious saviour. He didn't hear them for long though, because soon the rabbit was being carried away, away from his workplace and away from the city centre, leaving vast, footprint shaped holes in several smaller buildings and sizeable paw-patterned dents in the asphalt roads along the way.
For a little while, neither one of the pair said a word as they just enjoyed the peace and quiet of their walk together, the giant creature soon striding well beyond the city and into the bountiful greenery of the countryside beyond. There came a point however, just as they got far enough from the city for all artificial light to fade away and be replaced by the glow of evening starlight above, when Maniko felt the palm on which he was being carried being lifted up level with its owner's face.
"Hi, Hoopy!"
Maniko finally giggled adoringly to his boyfriend.
"Hi, Manny."
The gargantuan muzzle of his lover grinned and boomed loudly back.
"I told you I was gonna be annoyed if they kept you on for more unannounced overtime again."
Hoop chuckled, shrugging as he looked down at his adorable little bunny boyfriend for a moment longer, then up alongside Maniko to the beautiful, peaceful star-lit sky.
"But now, until they can rebuild and rebuild the systems they need you to work on, I get the feeling you're going to have some unscheduled time off coming your way. And, if they're super efficient about it and try to get you and the others back on the clock before the holiday season is over..."
The giant anthro grinned cheekily as he and the comparably tiny man he loved watched a beautiful shooting star streak across the cool, dark night's sky.
"...I can always pay their head office a visit, and ask nicely..."
As if to make his point, he stamped firmly at the ground beside him, flattening a small copse of trees in the process.
"...for them to consider a little extra holiday leave for all their valued employees, out of their goodness of their hearts."
