I seem to remember that some scan programs have a "mosaic" type of feature to help load in oversized images: you scan the monster in quarters, shall we say, then the program knits it all together on the hard-drive.
Check to see if your scanner has this feature.

They are RWD, as they were never sold over here. These guys have some serious money out here, when it comes to car collecting. Its like Los Angeles in the summer here on a sunny Sunday...lots to see. Worth it just to sit on the side of the highway and go car spotting
