Her real name is Sarah Ozmond-Garret but because she's a college student, she goes by her stage name, River.
River thinks that she's better than all the other "strippers" because she's got morals. She's not going to be a dancer all her life, she's going to get a degree and get out of this place. She only here to pay for the bills and loans, but she ends up spending more on her costumes and regular clothes and getting drunk, than saving to pay off her bills.
Lana's number one suggestion for all the girls is to budget and save. She especially wants this for River, because she wants her to be something more than a stripper, because she's so young, she's got too much going for her not to, but River's partying to hard, and living to fast.
Part of it has to do with the fact that her parents live so far away and they can't support her the way all the other kids in school get all their bills paid for. She tries to get out of dancing at the beginning of the school year, but she ends up back by the end of the first semester, trying to make money for food and rent. Which makes her grades suffer, and makes her drop classes and have to pay more for college.
One of these days, she's going to graduate...she hopes.
Jordan helps her with her school-work during her breaks, and drives her to and from work, but knows better than to get involved with her.
She's started to get this idea that one of the parties that Lily brings in to close business deals, might have a rich old man who would take her away from all this and make her rich, but they always seem to know what she's really after.
Who could possibly be tipping them off like that?
