This Nintendo DS Lite was purchased on Friday, November 27, 2009, at a Walmart in my hometown. It was intended to replace an original DS that had fallen from my nightstand, resulting in a broken screen hinge and an unreadable top screen. 11 years later, the Crimson/Onyx DS Lite is still working well despite normal wear, light scratching and scattered blemishes on the backside of the Top Screen. I have never replaced the battery; it is still running on its original factory-installed battery, and it can definitely hold its own against much higher-drain devices like my phone and my tablet.
I now use the DS more for pocket NES and Game Boy emulation (via a relatively ancient M3 flash cart) and creating music with the Korg DS-10 synthesizer cartridge.
I used the M3's internal image viewer to display my Elyran Telecommunications logo which I had copied from my own profile here on FA, because it was most convenient. I also moved the selection box because it was obstructing the logo, which is why the Touch Screen is completely black.
