Hired to search for disappearing citizens, Raska stumbled upon a cult in the midst of a human sacrifice and was turned to stone. For years, Raska was trapped as an immobile stone statue fully aware of his surroundings and forced to watch all of the cult's horrid activities.
When a band of adventures known as the Company of Beasts came hunting the cult, their mage Logan accidentally animated Raska when her magic went wild. Raska immediately joined in the fight and later joined the party. However, while they found themselves unable to change him back from stone, they did discover that the magic animating him was permanent, thus saving him from being trapped as a statue.

The adventures of the Company of Beasts (CoB) is from a Fantasy AU a group of my friends have been working on.
