(Will be put in scraps after finished piece is posted)
This lil' dude stands about 5" tall. I have been having a terrible art block lately so I hoped that working on a different medium will help me a bit. I used a simple armature for the little dude using a thick workable wire and then wrapped tin foil around it. I also used air drying clay which did not like the tinfoil much XD so it was a bit of a b*tch to work with. I tried to smooth it out over and over again @.@ didn't like cooperating with me much. I havn't done anything with air drying clay in a while so I think I am still too used to super sculpey which is easier to work with lol. I know that there are some errors but I was having a lot of trouble with the air drying clay not sticking to the foil and the tail tip kept falling off so I just wrapped the two around its tail, couldn't get a rounder look without risking the tail tip falling off again... He's sitting on a piece of glass tile that I am thinking I will put rock like structure around the edges and try to make it look a little more watery or something lol. I have this nice metallic blue paint I am painting its main body with. When I find my white paint, I am going to try to add a opalescent layer on the white underside and the ear wings?
Also for some weird reason Photoshop decided it wanted to go gray scale and I couldn't change it out of it -_- Anywho it has been years since I worked with air drying clay. Also I appoligize for the crappy photo quality... I hope once I finish painting it, then it will look better in the pictures.

It's looking good so far ^^ Can definitely see the details starting to appear! Its going to look awesome with some paint on it :)
If I can offer advice though You can add difficult parts to the sculpture after they've dried by using a mixture of clay and water called slurry as a joining agent. I'm not sure of the exact process... I'll try and find a tutorial and send it to ya vis MSN
