At this point, I am genuinely considering one more Zootopia spinoff series with a more Shoujo manga feel focused on Kaho and Ame, the titular Cereal and Rain. I find them and their circle of friends compelling, and they're technically already connected to Kion's Guard. Kion and friends protect Gabu and May from Mapigano, Gabu is sort of friendly toward the penitent Bela, who is dating Ame. And, of course, Ame is always at the shrine where Kaho is miko, and she's seeing Nuka, brother of Vitani, who is dating Kiara. There are multiple Bacon numbers at play and none of them that large.
Anyway, any good series will have a beach episode, and if they're smart, more than one. If there are tie-ins, enough to sell multiple swimsuit sets as gachapon prizes, vinyl figures, game skins, or all of the above. Here's a casual still from one such episode doubling as a cover image. No, you're not imagining. This is a double-dip doujinshi, paying homage to Beastars while still being set in Zootopia. Seems fair. Ame and Bela very clearly are meant to be H- and L-, though notably Bela isn't the predator equivalent of a cold turkey tweaker, and Ame has a sense of self-confidence despite being small, plump and strange-looking outside the context of her very specific breed.
Some fun details here. The pose was very much inspired by, and I give all credit to,
asthexiancal who did H- and L- in Vitruvian Man pose for an outreach poster. This is much more casual. Boyfriend and girlfriend showing how their relationship has grown comfortable. They're better mammals now, and different from their inspirations. You can see traces of Bela doing sand angels while on a towel clearly made for Ame. Ame is in a daring yet also modest swimsuit that would pass for clothes, being modeled on Gazelle's sparkly performance attire. It suits her good girl Little Miss Perfect vibe. It also offers the best possible look at her coat to emphasize just how perfect of a Magpie Harlequin she is. Bela is equally in everyday wear, with some board shorts. Despite having been born in Zootopia of Zootopian parents and not speaking more than broken tourist Magyar, he still loves The Old Country as much as Ame loves Nihon. So his shorts are in the color of the flag. This is further emphasized by the volume title, an admittedly bad pair of puns. If you're going to dad joke, dad joke plentifully.

I guess I technically did. But only in a "names changed and serial numbers filed off" way. Otherwise the two can't be combined, they're very incompatible. Zootopians can't murder and eat each other. Unlike the poxy Beastars, Zootopia is literally about how they have the rule of law. Bela up there was about as close to a Beastars character as possible. He was an unlikable jackass that quasi fetishized the idea of being a mindless savage and thought that bloodshed was cool. In theory. But as soon as Diet Legoshi figured out that blood made him sick and a smarter man kicked his brain in and made him clean up his ideas. That's what Beastars seems like to me. Like Zootopians with personality disorders. Even Haru is the architect of so many of her own problems.
