Turns out that little "Adult Dude Ranch" was under surveillance by both the FBI AND the ASPCA! An undercover agent, known only as "Deep Snout," had been observing the goings-on for MONTHS, reporting extensively to both agencies, and filing multiple charges of BOTH human trafficking AND animal abuse.

He never DID make it entirely clear WHY he had to PARTAKE of the Ranch's WARES so extensively, the rascal; his excuse that the staff would've been suspicious of his hanging around otherwise sounded a little LAME, to be quite honest, but he got RESULTS, and that was all that mattered.

Unfortunately, there was no question of REVERSING any of the procedures; the "humanimals" would REMAIN humanimals. The only thing to do was to adopt them out to understanding owners of upstanding moral character. And so Xavier found herself the pampered and fussed-over pet of little Edna Mae Sue here. It gets a little MUCH sometimes, being made over and playing "My Little Pony" and "Unicorn" constantly. The little TEA PARTIES drive her crazy. But she reminds herself that at least she's not a working mare anymore; and she has no wish to be back in the reins again.
