Portrait Study

Part of a portrait thing i was working on for grandparents. Felt like sharing

Obvious sargent reference for style. Done on photoshopzzz

Done using mostly the pencil tool with a texture on it. Angle jitter set to pen tilt, 30% opacity. Magic wanded the blacks afterwards and set a gradient masked canvas filter to make it look more like oils.

Nah, I used an old photo and just changed up the lighting. Grandpa's passed away a few years back so it's for my grandma.

Pencil tool explains the super sharp edges. Not the best for blending, but I just like how it feels :E

Tilt is something I just started messing around with. Kind of interesting, but a little unwieldy.
