With the fire finally started, Willmax slumped against the stony wall. The flames gave precious little heat, but he was tired and quickly fell asleep. Valkain however, could not sleep. Today was the first time he had ever run from anything, and the first time he had ever been afraid. Though they had escaped the city without being followed, they still had a long, difficult trek through the Deadlands before they reached the relative safety of the jungle. He wondered if they would really make it as he turned his eyes to his friend. The strange power Willmax had demonstrated earlier that day had saved their lives, but would it work on Zombies? He supposed they would find out.

I'm kind of suffering coolness overload on this, just so many things about it to love, but I just have to rave over your coloring in particular. The lighting and shading and -texture- is just...

Those are fantastic character designs besides. Seriously.
And the landscape's so intense and and starkly beautiful. You can feel the chill in the air.

I really hope you'll turn this into a story series. Your style works very well with demons. Awesome work with the background too. It sets the mood well.
If I could pick just one feature, I would say I particularly like Valkain's feet there.

They look so warm, and so exhausted.
...Or stoned and bored, but those expressions are pretty much the same.
Taking on BC's series fetish? Or starting something of a comic with these guys? Either way, excellent drawing. You make flesh look so.. meaty, tasty. I can really see that if I slapped Willmax on the tummy (and oh how I'd like to!), it'd make the proper sound. I suppose drawing porn for so many years helped that a little, eh? Great effect, nonetheless.

Both of them are very sweet. looking. I'd like to take care of them. I hope they turn to each other for comfort. That would really be my view of serenity. :)

Your blending of soft colors in your artwork makes your characters come to life. It reminds me alittle of video game artwork. I think it would be awesome if you animated the fire, and played with flickering shadows in this pic. Your art has that real natural look to it.
