So this was originally intended to be me quickly sketching an idea down so I don't forget it then I accidentally did the whole thing. I'll probably still digitalize it at some point since it is very rough.

I haven't posted as much of him on this account, but I had have quite a few pictures of Crimson Cardinal on my old account. He is undoubtedly my oldest OC, I probably made him when I was 12 or 13, just starting to get into furry, but I stayed more in the brony realm until I was 16 and made Sovereign. I have given him minor redesigns over the years, like changing his name and cutie mark, but generally speaking he has always been kind of the same - a red pegasus with purple hair.
Now, I did recently end up finding someone's oc who has virtually the same coloration as Crimson, but female, and a different cutie mark obviously. I did end up wondering if I should redesign Crimson to be more unique, but my internal dialogue yielded "why the fuck would I do that? He may have a basic design, but he has one of the most developed personalities and backstories of my characters. What other colors would I make him? The red and purple work so well together."


In addition to that, I imagined my other characters berating me for having the AUDACITY to even CONSIDER redesigning my oldest oc.

Quickly and poorly sketched me because I don't remember how to draw humans: Hmm, your colors are so basic...maybe I should redesign you...
