While back I had another non-Pokemon character idea, one who would fit into a vague fantasy setting that I have going in my head, and here's the product of said idea, Argenta the goo gal. A mutation of the normally carrion and detritus-eating slimefolk, Argenta is a devourer of metal objects, gobbling up whatever disposable objects she can get. While pretty scatterbrained and not geared towards thinking in the long-term, she's smart enough not to eat anything valuable right away, one piece of gold buying a whole bunch of nails and similar objects, but the one place that stops is with objects made from silver. Maybe it's whatever sense of taste she has, maybe it just feels nice to absorb, but any object made of silver has around a day at most in her possession before it's gone.

In order to fund her metal-eating ways, making good use of her limitless flexibility, Argenta is a bit of a roguish type, slipping into homes, businesses, and storehouses through the smallest cracks and crevices to have run of the place before fleeing to enjoy the spoils of her work. Unfortunately for most, she doesn't usually have the foresight to save money for hard times, so has to make these trips often.
