Cmsn: Wolf Mates IX: Gv-ge-yu
Commission for Babyblueyedgal - she asked for a pair of wolf mates with a Cherokee/dreamcatcher theme, so being the literal person I am, I painted the wolves in a dreamcatcher set against what should hopefully resemble the Cherokee foothills. The title means "I love you" in, you guessed it, Cherokee!

Whenever I look at your artwork, I often find it hard to put to words what I feel. The English language, as much weirdness as it has, doesn't have enough words to really help me describe my mood and thoughts, and sometimes it's not worthy trying. But I guess...if anything, I would like you to know that this piece really finds it's way to my heart. I'm not entirely certain how to say specifically how it sits there, and why it's so close (even though I know that, I'm incapable of explaining), but it's there.
Those canines look so real. It's as if they're looking at me, and not just as digital squares peering just at my screen. It's like they see past it. And the landscape...that foliage is lovely. Stepping back and looking at it, everything blends so well, as if it's a snapshot.
I really, really enjoy how you made the title in romanized Tsalagi. :)

You're welcome It does looks like the foothills of the Smokies. One good photo to use would be photos of Mount LeConte. at 6,593 feet, it's the highest point in Tennessee and can be seen from most anywhere in this area.

Well, I have a number of tutorials and such out... http://jocarra.deviantart.com/gallery/#Tutorials
Mostly it involves blurry soft airbrushing of colours and shades, and then scribbling over top to get the fine fur details :b

Unfortunately she closed her DA account unexpectedly awhile back.
But here are the remnants of her art floating on the net.

I was a fan of hers and followed her work on TLKFAA since 1999.
Even named a Battleship after one of her character she hasn't used in a long time.

Antheos used to be her story and gallery mascot at TLKFAA.
Around 2003 she closed her account there and retired her char Antheos for good.
I didn't knew she was Khaosdog until 2009.
Now she's gone again.
Her art though has gotten progressively darker and grittier in tone over the years.
