Oceanside Firecracker Flarevautia
Back near the start of the year, I was going through a phase of being highly obsessed with my Pokesona’s girlfriend Volvautia the Eevee in her various forms. I decided to really go the extra length and give her the honor of a Patreon poll to have one of her pictures finished. And with that winner, a Mega Flareon version, I went even further and had it done in my finest technique and media.
I recall this picture took ages to do because I was still learning the tempo of full color along with doing all that hair and transparent high heels. Very, very happy with and proud of this; it is still among my favorite pictures I ever did. It served as a huge confidence booster to show myself that yes, I really can do full color in a reasonable way to compete with digital artists!
Color has marked a significant decline in my pure graphite work but out of fairness, that was what I did for over a decade. So while I may not do as much graphite in the future, you all have literal hundreds to sift through in my gallery!
