Really enjoying this series so far. Always had a soft spot for soft Jackals, and this one is no exception. :)
Your description of Kaphiri's growth is a pleasure to read, and the only thing I can really offer by way of constructive criticism is that you tend to be a little inconsistent with capitalising the beginnings of sentences. That's a minor gripe if anything, though.
