After lots of trepidation, I finally got a load of my chest and drew myself as a lion >.<
Something about Christianity (of which I am) and lions have a big thing with each other, and that crossing into my Furry world, was just messing with my head.
Just a little bothersome case of what-I-think-I'm-meant-to-be VS what-I-actually-want-to-be.
But getting this out was pretty cathartic, so I feel much better :D

Yesh, I hadn't really REALLY thought as to how it'd go, until I did a quick one with my mate on our whiteboard paintchat, and SHOCK and lots and lots of creepies (since I was still pretty at odds with 'em at that time, it messed with my head more than ever).
I just tried to replicate that same pic (only betterer), since I was quick to erase it, being all creeped out at the time.

Naaaah, this isn't that mask. That ones looking more to be a possible character. This is just cathartic self service to get weird thoughts out of my head.
Yeah, I know CoN gets looked at for that most often, but it was a kind of weird timing that my best friend who was a hawk for years, just VERY SUDDENLY up and decided to be a lion, for that reason and others, and it was kinda eerie to me.

It's not too surprising that the lion face looks like you in some sense. The lion face actually blends nicely with human features, unlike some other animal forms. Kind of interesting how that works. It's one reason why Jesus is more often depicted as a lion furry and never as a lamb furry. It's easier on a human level to identify with the lion than it is the lamb.
