A while back I asked for people to donate their faces: they get a free photomorph, I get an example for my gallery. I don't have any paintings worth showing right now, so I figured I'd upload this.

This is Banka, who requested lioness.

It's not easy to do this to someone wearing glasses, and Banka has very distinctively shaped eyes, I didn't want to lose that. I had to paint out the glasses on the original, do the rough morph, go in and refine by hand, then make it look as if the eyes were under glass (darkening, less contrast, etc.) and add in reflections. The piercings had to be added back in, and there was a lot of tricky stuff around the mouth. I used 6 different lion stock photos.

I like a challenge, though, and it seems to have turned out pretty well.
