Bagheera is one of two Mowgli’s teachers. He is a proud black panther. He teaching a lot of things to him: talking animals langages, run like wolf, hunting.
Today lesson is: how to hiss like panther.
Bagheera : listen to me Mowgli, I will show you how I hiss to scare my enemies. You can put your hands on my rough tongue to feel how I wiggle it and imitate after me. Are you ready?

Bagira is my favourite character in the book (I can't forgive the Disney adaptations for swapping his personality with Baloo's), being a predatory animal he could be used to good effect, but for some reason they don't do much with him.
