On second thought, maybe this mountain is abit too difficult to conquer. With all that teeth and claw and sheer mass, I'd say the knight has a few seconds before he ends up as mush.

As a drip of the dragon's saliva is heavier than the knight, I think he needs to do a tactical retreat.

Might be a tad late for a tactical retreat. Perhaps some tactical negotiations (begging for mercy) could work!

Funny you say that. I had Dark Souls in mind while creating the scene. Creating that smokey atmosphere with the knight and facing off the gaint beast in the background.

I picked a random image from google for armour references for this commission. Now that I had a proper look, i think the ref I used was actually one of the armour sets from the Dark Souls games. Hah.

I say, it's gonna be more than just one sword to take on something 10 times bigger. First few uses of the sword but would easily break. The dragon not so much, as just one swing with a tail or four limb paw or just one bite with the large jaw.

That's not how you do it. A sword is the wrong implement for this kind of job. Clearly what you need to do is coerce the dragon to roll over so you can give him or her belly rubs.
