Granted she was the only Dinosaucer in the show who not once I believe ever went feral. Even my favorite Ichy (hence my liking of ichythosaurs) did it in one episode.

You're right, she didn't. Ichy was my second favorite. I remember that episode :)

Teyx was the only thing I watched the show, for.

BTW, yes, I did base my "feathersona" on being a male of Teryx's species.

I'm still a kid yet, and I've never even heard of the show, but regardless it looks really nice.

It didn't last much more than a season and only aired in the 80's. It hasn't been on tv since, or dvd ever. So it's not surprising if you weren't a child of the 80's that you wouldn't hear of it.

That's a shame, it sounds delightfully 80's in nature.

Despite how well it would (or wouldn't) hold up to today's cartoons, It'd be neat to see it. I'll talk to my dad, I'm sure he'd know about it.

I loved this show when I was a kid! Teryx was a big reason for that. She was probably the first time I've ever had a crush on a cartoon character ^///^ Very nice work, and thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Never even heard of Dinosaucers before. When I was a kid, I grew up watching shows like Mummies Alive!, Street Sharks, and... hmm... I think it was Mighty Max, I can't remember most of the cool shows that don't exist anymore.

Well, the show was silly and corny, but Teryx was a bright spot: she was one of the ONLY well rounded female cartoon characters from the 80s. She was the _de facto_ second in command of the team, pretty smart most of the time, and a Renaissance woman to boot. (She could do everything from act to conduct medical research...and did).

And yep, despite her misgivings, she and Ichy did make a good pair.

And I'd say Jem was pretty accomplished 80's cartoon lady... she was a pop star AND ran an orphanage and record company.

Well, good point, I'd forgotten about her. But I still maintain that that sort of intelligent, assertive female character was the exception to the rule in the 80s.

In Teryx's case, the fact that she was avian sealed the deal. I may be one of the only damn Teryx fans out there -- present company also included -- that didn't just tack on mammal bits, draw up some porn and call it a day. Instead, I figured out how a birdmorph could work with avian anatomy and went from there. ArchTeryx was the end result, as your race of bird people was for you.

I liked that show, too, but only because of Teryx. I had a huge cartoon crush on her, and often wished the show had been drawn and written better. Even to me as a teen, that show was a groaner. Yay, birds!
