I’m a little late for Halloween, but this tumblr ask gave me an idea that wouldn’t let me rest until I drew it in comic form. Thank you, anon.
I’m convinced that mass-produced Halloween costumes based on Earth’s new alien allies and enemies are totally a thing post-war... and that a holiday based on fear and surprise would be a nightmare for members of a high-strung prey species. Tef is still having fun getting into the spirit of things, at least.

It does raise an interesting question, though. If you were decapitated, could you use the, what, twenty? seconds of consciousness left to start the morphing process? And would the morphing, once started, keep you alive until you're in your intact morph-created body?
Not that I'd want to see Tef or Ilmater test this, of course. It'd probably take an estreen to pull it off, anyway.
