*giggles* This is a cute piece of Charlie and Kayla dozing off together, done by the wonderfully cute  fjf. And yes, the banner title is what he called the piece if ya wonder. :)

Before I go on, this pic is based on a story idea for an alternate history of the characters of Kit Crossing, the big change here being that Kayla and Charlie are of the same age whereas in the bulk of the artwork Kayla's a teen while Charlie's just a toddler. The story revolves around Kayla's feelings for Charlie (in the main storyline, she does have a crush on Charlie but because of age is unable to realize it) and the two are able to realize those feelings. And yes, this is gonna be a long little story for this piccy, too. :P Anyway...this is a scene that follows "Kayla's Confession" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3411902) and "Charlie's Curiosity" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3548398).

After Charlie and Kayla for the first time got to run their paws along each other's padding and enjoying that together, the two finally got around to their Kool-aid and suckled on that, getting rather full tummies. As the evening went on, Kayla made a cubby feast for the two of them...and tried to feed Charlie in the high chair - that just didn't work out that well as Charlie squirmed too much for her (although it did give Kayla alot of entertainment). Then the two watched some kit movies for a while till they both needed their bathes, an experience all of its own. *giggles*

Once the two were squeaky clean, Kayla beeps Charlie's nose and lays him down, snuggly diapering him in a nighttime diaper and a light blue tee shirt, then tells Charlie to wait in the playroom while she got ready (as she wasn't just yet ready to hand the responsibility of being diapered herself to Charlie's very capable paws). Charlie then remembered that his favorite plushie was hiding somewhere in the playroom and so ended up digging around in the room till he found it. Just as he headed to the door, he found Kayla in an orchid night tee holding a rather odd plushie. Charlie recognized the plushie right off the bat since he was once in the human world.

"How in the world did you get a Shippo plushie?" Charlie asked with a big giggle.

"And where did ya managed to get yer paws on a Robin Hood plushie silly fox?" Kayla teased right back.

"Auby knows some furs who poke their noses in the human world and wanted to get me an unique plushie."

"I...have an odd fascination for stuff from the human world - I mean, look at my Star Wars collection. Hadda know the right furs to ask about them." Kayla admitted with a bit of a blush, "I know, I'm a geeky vixen who has odd interests."

"Besides the fact you look adorable in your vixie pants?" Charlie giggled as he pats Kayla's bottom.

"That's not odd...to me anyway silly boy. Now, how 'bout we get a little milk before bed?" Kayla asked as she yawned.

"By the looks of it we might need to go straight to bed," Charlie replied, "But perhaps a little milk might help." Kayla noddled and produced two bottles of milk she had carried with her - just don't ask how she pulled it off. The two smiled and had their bottles in the playroom, then practically lead each other by paw to their bedroom with Kayla wiggling into bed without much of a thought at all...Charlie hadda pull the sheets back so he could wiggle in. Since Kayla was already curled up, Charlie just spooned up next to her. While he had wanted to snuggle his plush and Kayla, he ended up wiggling the plushie out from between them and wrapped his arms around her.

"Mmmm...I like your thinking darling," Kayla said sleepily, "I've been wanting you to pull me into your arms and we both can share dreamland together."

"Mhmms my Kayla," Charlie said lovingly as he nuzzled Kayla's cheek, "I'll meetcha there cutie. You have a good night sweetie, love yas."

"Love ya too Charlie," Kayla murrmurred as she quickly drifted off, squeezing her Shippo plush rather tightly (Charlie saw that just as his eyes were closing, thinking about what the plushie would say if it was alive...complete with a sweatdrop). The two slowly feel asleep, forgetting to turn their light off but the two didn't really care (and thankfully their lights turn off automatically if they forget) - Kayla and Charlie were too excited to enter Dreamland together and have many adventures as they tranquilly slept together in their den with Charlie protecting his sweetie.
