Ever since I arrived here, I find myself wandering the city's seemingly endless streets. Built decades ago, this place has been given the nickname of 'Brutalist paradise' due to all the concrete. It's everywhere you go, from the bathrooms to the parks to the playgrounds. There's no escaping it. This city was built quickly and with little regard for beauty or aesthetics; its designers only cared to make it the supreme example of the style.
Now, decades later, the place is still standing. The buildings are aging, but they remain strong, refusing to yield to time's endless march. And while they aren't the most beautiful of structures, they don't seek to impede or threaten its inhabitants. They are indifferent to us. Thus, as I begin to explore, I am neither helped nor hindered.
One thing about this place, though, is the rain. It's constant and almost inescapable. I'll wait here under this awning, waiting for it to slow before continuing on.
I wonder why I haven't seen anyone else wandering these streets.
