I take Izzy with me in the shower all the time, he frolics in the water for a couple of minuets then chills out on the shower rod. Birds love love love showers and baths and I keep a super good eye on him while we are in there, no soaps or razors for the little monkey bird. Anyhow, he is adorable when he is all wet.
I got him back in February as a little squiggly mass and hand fed him into the little terror he is today. He has such a good vocabulary now!
He can say...
"Baby"
"Baby bird"
"My baby"
"Love"
And he blows kisses.
He is starting to say other things but I cant make them out just yet.
Izzy is a Green Cheek Conure and when dry is a stunning bright green with dashes of yellow red and blue.

Aww, I love Sun Conures, they have such pretty coloures. Yeah, they do, its good to start with baths but you have to be super careful because they can drown. Just have to keep an eye on them at all times and not let them go too deep. Really Izzy just loves anything that gets him out of his cage.
Hm well Walter has been bored lately and I have no money for new toys at the time so maybe I will try a shallow bath in the future and see how he reacts, sometimes he is so grumpy though...
Also I'm jealous your baby can talk! I've been trying since I got my conure to teach it just one word since I got him, I would say a year or a little longer, and nothing has worked...

Interesting...well we got Walter when he was an adult from some people who were pretty much just gonna LEAVE the poor bird on the side of the road and drive off; he still acts like a chick by going into screaming fits and beg for food and such. But anyway, I guess maybe he's too old to learn words now, like how learning foreign language is easier for kids but harder for adults.
