I was inspired by the wonderful piece by https://twitter.com/BlueBoye2020 on Twitter for this one! You can find it on FA here, he's a wonderful artist ^^ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38193343/
My inital idea was a discussion about hypnosis between
Drazin and
Mattswolf, but I decided to add in Blue, both as thanks for indirectly giving me the idea and well, he just works in the story too! :p
I hope you enjoy it!

The thump of the heavy base nearly shook the windows of Matts’s office. The night was young after all, and this friday night the Lunar Lure was particularly crowded. Nothing his staff couldn’t handle, he’d trained them well after all. Still, on most busy days like these he’d be out helping to man the bar himself. It’s the least he could do, and he enjoyed making small talk with some of the customers. Still, he had other plans today, so Variun would have to manage the bar solo for a few hours.
“I don’t know how you manage with all the noise.” Vyl said, leaning back into the soft couch in the VIP lounge as he sipped his drink. Matts smirked and waved a hand dismissively. “You get used to it after a few years, don’t worry.” before changing the subject. “Your lemonade’s getting a bit low, need a refill?”
Vyl finished off the drink, and nodded his head. “Oh yeah, I’ll take some more.” Matts clapped his hands as Blue, dressed in his best waiter’s outfit, with a slowly pulsing visor to match, hurried into the Vip lounge. He picked up the glass, and obediently said “R-Right away sir~” before leaving the lounge. Vylraz whistled, the sergal clearly impressed.
“Y’know, Matts, I never figured out how you get ‘em to listen so well. My lugs back at my place make great eyecandy, don’t get me wrong, but they can’t do much more than basic tasks.” The sergle chuckled, flashing his long, sharp teeth. “They make great footrests though, can’t deny that.”
The blue wolf chuckled back, sipping his cocktail. “Well, from what I’ve seen, the key is to rely less on hypnosis, and more on the subject’s innate will. All of my employees go through my training program, but on some level, they WANT to work here, to serve me, so I can keep them lucid enough to do complex tasks.” Vyl nodded a few times, “Huh. Yeah, that makes some sense.”
Blue walked back in, a new glass of lemonade and a new cocktail in tow. “Here’s your drink, sir, please enjoy your time at the Lu-” but Matts cut the Shiba off, scratching his chin. “This is actually a good time to demonstrate. Blue, let me see that...” he said, reaching up and plucking the visor off of the Shiba’s face. Blue stared vacantly ahead for a little while, before his eyes fluttered and he looked around the ViP room, clearly confused. “Ngh...W-Where am I?” he asked, before realizing the position he was in. “Oh, hey there Boss! Is it quitting time already?”
Matts shook his head. “No, not quite. Just wanted to ask you a few things, if that’s fine.” Blue seemed a bit nervous, but otherwise fine. “Of course! Um, what did you need to ask?”
“Well, how do you feel about working here? Would you quit if you could?” Blue shook his head quickly. “No, of course not! I’ve made so many friends here, why would I leave? W-Wait, don’t tell me you were thinking of firing me, boss?” Matts shook his head, smiling. “No, of course not, I was just wondering. You’re free to go.”
Blue nodded, turning around as he began to leave the room. Before he could though, Vylraz spoke up. “Hey, wait up, come here a sec.” The Shiba’s ears perked up, as he trotted over. “Oh, yes, what did you need?” The sergal stood up and pointed at a spot on Blue’s suit. “You got something right there, see it?” Blue looked down with confusion. “N-No, I don’t see any-”
Vyl suddenly grabbed Blue by the collar and pulled him close, eyes suddenly glowing an intense, piercing grey. The Shiba barely had time to gasp before the color was brained from his eyes and he went limp, a dull, mindless smile creeping across his face as Vylraz sat back down on the couch, dragging the Shiba waiter down with him. Matts sighed, shaking his head as the sergal gave him a shit-eating grin. “Aw come on, you told me about your methods, now I get to show you mine! Fair’s fair after all.”
Matts couldn’t help but snicker. “Alright, alright. But be careful with Blue, I need him in one piece.” The Shiba didn’t even respond as he lay limply on the couch, drool beginning to pool around his mouth, grey eyes staring at nothing in particular. Vylraz nodded a few times. “Mhm, sure thing, Matts, I’ll be careful with you too.”
“Good, I’d hope you-” Matts paused. “Wait, what do you mean by...” But before the blue wolf could pause, he felt the sergal grab his purple necktie and pull him close, shoving his face into the sergal’s piercing, draining, enthralling eyes. The wolf felt his intellect begin to flicker, the world falling away from him as everything became so much simpler, now that he had an overlord to do all the thinking for him...
