I have to call this one done or I'll simply work on it forever. Been almost three nights. My first real attempt at coloring and I learned a whole hell of a lot from it! Like, try and figure out how to not do so much detail yet still color. Done entirely in OC.
My greatest hope is that it pleases the character. Thank you for the inspiration. <3

Wow. WOW. That's Marian, right down to a tee. That's simply gorgeous, a pin-up shot and a personality portrait all in one. I wish there was a +++fav button. Just beautiful!
I'm barely qualified to comment on technical stuff but I agree with various people above, that work on shading and depth will pay off at this point in your development. Not that there's any lack of it in those wonderful eyes!

Nice!
Though I'm not familiar with "OC", I take it it's a paint program of some kind? The sides sort of look that way. As for the rest, it looks good! ANd personally, I find it actually easier to paint paint with traditional materials, as well as being faster. I've not yet met a digitizing tablet that.. "feels" the same as working with a real brush. If it was traditional materials I could offer you lots of advice on how to speed the process up and give you the look and feel of fur and what not! But when it comes to digital media, heee.. I bow to your superior kung-fu. And EVERY peice is a learning experience, I REALLY like the eyes. Wonderful job on the eyes. THat's almost allways where I start, first the eyes, then the nose and mouth, THEN everything else. :) If I muck up the eyes, I either fix them, or throw it away!! But the eyes are everything, at least, to me. Keep drawr'n! (as they say around here)

Thanks. I'm finding that electronic media is at least a bit more forgiving than real media, which is a blessing. I'm not getting as frustrated and tossing it all out. I can just back it up a bit and try something else. It's been more positive than real media for me. I'm sure people's mileage will vary. :)
Oh yes, working with 'real' media can be a challange to be sure, but MOSTLY the challange is to just 'accept what happens' and call it done. :) Like, for example, watercolors. You *CAN* fis things up a bit, but usually you just kinda have tohave a vague notion of what you want and try and get it in a couple strokes of the brush, unless you like uber detail, then it's paint little marks, let them dry, paint a bunch more, let it dry. etc. Time consuming, which is why I just splash da shit on. :)
