Good times, good friends...
My character and a character I modeled after my best friend from highschool, remembering the silly fun times we used to have. And we did this photo booth thing a lot. (and print club - I still have a bunch of those stickers somewhere).
Done with micron pen, copic marker, acrylic paint and gel pen on 3.5"x5" bristol board. For the AC art show.

Aw, that's really sweet. The two of them look really cute. And it's nice to be reminded of old friends, and the good times you had. A little bit sad, too, but in a good, nostalgic sort of way. My favorite picture would have to be what I guess you'd call the middle one, just under the picture that's going off the top of the frame. It captures their happiness, and the joy of messing around in front of a camera, so very nicely.
The paw holding the strip of pictures is quite nicely done, too. And it gives the picture a connection to the present day that really drives home the nostalgia more than the pictures would have done alone. Which I'm sure you know, as you're more clever about this sort of thing than I am. But it's a detail I like so much, I had to mention it.

Such a beautiful work! The size and angle bring the right amount of balance for the perspective spacing, the blend of primary colors with an earthy background is wonderfully harmonious, and the subject matter seems to evoke feelings of nostalgia from a happy childhood and sew them to present day. I'm impressed.
Can't say I had too many friends through all my years in school, I got picked on a lot by almost everyone... So I never had this kind of silly fun much, but it makes those few good times all the better and more memorable though I still wish I could have had more of them back then.
Really nice work as always, especially like the goofy smile and tongue pokes.
You always manage to intigrate your "KCM" mark so wonderfully into every one of your works, it's there but it's not interfering with the picture since it blends in in plain sight. Do you plan this beforehand or afterwards on where and how to place it?
