Yes, I know... evil, horrible, everybody hates them, etc. I don't care what anybody says, I like them and I think they're pretty.

excellent point;). I myself hate overgrown swarms of *anything*. Heck, we have a "pet" water roach that found its way in the house: after reading up and learning that it is not a scout for a hive, nor a swarming species, we decided to let it stay: it steals the cat's food and drives her nuts ;D , but come on, a single insect, even a medium/large one, isn't going to deplete the food supply (though I do keep an eye out just in case it invites over "friends")
Gulls seem a bit mindless, but I'm not certain on that: After all, they are thriving rather well. I *do* know they are aggressive to the point of seeming mean, so I guess that would be my biggest gripe on the animal just for its personal traits. Other than that its an attractive, well constructed bird. The only thing human's have going for them is their brains;p
