Yeah, I dunno why everybody has such a visceral reaction to 'em... sure, they're aggressive, hungry, loud, and they poop on everything, but then again so do people.

excellent point;). I myself hate overgrown swarms of *anything*. Heck, we have a "pet" water roach that found its way in the house: after reading up and learning that it is not a scout for a hive, nor a swarming species, we decided to let it stay: it steals the cat's food and drives her nuts ;D , but come on, a single insect, even a medium/large one, isn't going to deplete the food supply (though I do keep an eye out just in case it invites over "friends")

Gulls seem a bit mindless, but I'm not certain on that: After all, they are thriving rather well. I *do* know they are aggressive to the point of seeming mean, so I guess that would be my biggest gripe on the animal just for its personal traits. Other than that its an attractive, well constructed bird. The only thing human's have going for them is their brains;p

Yeah, they're pretty aggressive, but if you watch them swipe food away from bait buckets or little kids with ice cream cones, you can see a certain craftiness in their approach. They know what they're doing.

Yeah. Maybe it's because I don't constantly live around them, but their audacious antics are always so much fun to watch.

I always liked them. They are graceful flyers, and all I ever had to do was throw a cheeto into the air to get one.

I once started a seagull storm of about 10,000 seagulls just by tossing a bit of fried potato on the ground near a landfill.

It's part of the beak. It's a good way to identify the species.

I've never had a gull take anything out of my hand (that wasn't being freely offered, anyway), but I did have a roadrunner steal a bite out of my sandwich while I was in the process of eating it. :P

Did it leave a trail of dust and exclaim, "MEEP MEEP?"

No, but it did leave a beak-shaped bite mark right in my sandwich. :P
