I went a little extra on the rambling, cuz there’s a lot of species building with these guys going on in the background. And for some additional info I had on the tumblr post:

-they’re a caste-based society with hundreds of different castes (and subsets within those castes). They kind of operate like jobs or lifestyles people would have, and reflect the role they have in their society (like Kurt would be the alien equivalent of a tech repairman or IT guy)

-Jake is part of the fertility/incubator caste, so his size fluctuates A LOT, and it’s part of the reason he’s awful and won’t wear clothes. Boi doesn’t want to cover his most attractive features lol.

-fat is converted into energy to produce eggs or incubate them. Eggs also have a high fat content to float at the water’s surface.

-big bellies are considered attractive, as is the ability to stretch. A lot of them tend to be gluttonous as a way to show off.

-They’re also kinky as all hell.
