I've been trying to get over the general difficulty of drawing equines, especially equines in movement - they have so many moving parts to get right! I have an extremely used and dog-eared book about animal drawing (done by a former Disney animator) that I keep going back to for tips.
One thing I am pleased with is how the blurred backgrounds turned out.

I never would've guessed that there would be difficulty drawing equine movement. The way you depict it made it look like you're a natural at it. Along with the artistic way to show a sense of speed with the blurred panel and autumn colors, it gives a very warm atmosphere.
Oh and I'd like to know more about this animal book you have acquired from a former Disney animator. Sounds very interesting.
