This is a dedication to two lions I had the joy of working with during the summer of 2009 at Colchester Zoo - Subu and Leoni. Sadly, Leoni died of health problems not long ago, with Subu following shortly after. They were both beautiful animals with huge voices - I'll never forget walking into the park in the morning to hear Subu bellowing over the zoo. They didn't always get on but they enjoyed each others' comapny and loved one another as far as a lion can.

This is also a gift to the three keepers on the cat section who loved Subu and Leoni more than anyone else, provided the two with amazing care and appriciated the lives of the two lions on a personal level. And also a thanks for giving me the oppertunity to work alongside them for the time I was at the zoo, allowing me also to get to know these lions personally.
