Speedpainting - Great Blue Heron
A Great Blue Heron.
I used virtually no references for this, except for the beak and markings. I drew my first Great Blue Heron when I was... Three.. on a Magna-Doodle XD I LOVED these birds and still do. This started out as a sketch, but I liked it enough to work on it.
As I painted this, I listened to a "swampland" track on my Ambiance iPhone app...
8 hours (I think) PSCS5, and tablet.
