A little self-portrait of sorts - my fursona.
I don't really follow sports, but I'm still a fan of the Dodgers - and that's because I was almost born at Dodger stadium.. my mom went into labor during a game, and thought it was a bad dodger dog at first. haha. She barely made it to a hospital, and I was delivered by a nurse, because the doctor was also at the game ^.^,. That was in 1981, and that year the Dodgers won the World Series. My parents told me I was their good luck charm. I also went to a lot of dodger games growing up, since my parents had season tickets, so its got a lot of personal meaning for me in general.
I hope I'm smart enough to be chewing sugar free gum, or else I'm going to need a lot of peanut butter to get it out of my fur in case it pops on my face.
Done with micron pen, copic marker, acrylic paints and gel pen on 3.5"x5" bristol board. For the AC art show.

*Grins* I love the way her cap is modified to fit around her ears. It just reminds me that there are so many little details that would be so different, in a furry world, that we don't even think about!
Maybe it's just the chewing gum, or the style you used, but she looks a little younger than you normally draw her, like she's maybe a teenager here. I apologize if that's not what you were aiming for, but I think it makes her look kind of cute.

Wow, how awesome to almost have been born at a game like that. xD My coming into the world wasn't nearly as exciting, haha.
I love the expression on this piece, as well as the pose. :3 Cute and casual. x3 Also, this picture makes your character look about 13, 14, 15-ish. :3 She looks quite a bit younger than in some of your other pictures. ^^ Forgive me if that wasn't the look you were going for, for its just a personal opinion of mine. ^^;;

its a white gel pen, and i used it for highlights, in the eyes, on the bubble, underneath the arm, on top of the tail, etc =). I only just bought the pen a few weeks ago and this is the 2nd piece I've tried it out on. its like using white paint on a fine tip brush, but a little easier.
My mother was a veterinarian. She was operating on an animal when her water broke, a month early. She closed up the patient, and had her receptionist drive her to the hospital. As soon as she was released from the hospital, she was back at work, with me in a bassinet in the examination room. I didn't become a vet myself, but I do work in an animal health lab.
This picture just oozes cool and casual. The facial expression, the way she's nonchalantly turned toward the viewer, paws in her pockets, and a non-offensive, relaxed background meld together really well to make this easy and fun to look at.
Can't say I'm a Dodger fan though. Go Padres! >:3
