Cape Gryphon
By far the most populous of the Standard Gryphon varieties, Cape Gryphons come in second in size, just slightly smaller than the Atlas Gryphons of the north. Though theyre coats are not quite as golden colored as the Atlas Gryphons, the feathers lining their heads, wings and rumps tend to grow in a beautiful red-copper color. As is usual with all standard gryphons, male Cape Gryphons are easily identified by their thick manes, though these are a great deal less abundant than Atlas Gryphon manes (Fig. A). Females are maneless, though in Cape Gryphons, the females may show some signs of heavy furring along their bellies or jawline, depending on age, size, and curiously enough, status in a pride (Fig. B). Unlike their northern cousins, Cape Gryphons are more difficult to train, and therefore arent used as frequently. Some are more docile, depending on the age theyre started at, but most, male and female alike, show a stubborn streak, and prefer to avoid humans altogether.
Although smaller than the Atlas Gryphons, Cape Gryphons are still registered as a 5 on the size scale: standard for a mount, even if they arent a frequent choice....
Remaining information to follow, busy packing to go home. Forgot to upload this last night when i posted it on DA. Not that it mattered, cause then i was to TIRED to write more into XD
