A few days ago, my air conditioning wouldn't work. I managed.
So, this is Erika again. And, after an hour and a half of work, what can I say about this picture? I like it. I'm not entirely sure I got her muzzle and feet right, and her ears might not be long enough, but this is only the fourth time I've hand-drawn a rabbit (whereas I've drawn my dracoon self soooo many times), so I'm confident I'll get it right with practice. I also tried my hand at a bit of foreshortening and perspective, but I'm not sure how well I managed.
Rather than leave it with absolutely no shading, I decided I might as well shade in her patches.
Overall, for an hour and a half of work, I like it. Hopefully she does, too. But I can definately say that, had I tried coloring this, I wouldn't have liked the end result. Especially upon trying to color the tank. Now that I'm giving up on the gaming tee gimmick, gonna be tougher coming up with things to wear. I suppose I could always rely on my clothes in Second Life for inspiration.
I gotta give a bit of thanks to Jamey-the-Hedgehog at deviantART for this. He doesn't know this, but I was still a little iffy about trying to draw again, until I saw his art and was reminded why I wanted to return to drawing.
By the way, a few of my old fans might recognize the title of the book. Don't get your hopes up; it's only an inside joke. (I really need to take my drawn self's example and do some reading, though.)
