Scarlet tries to emulate one of his idols (with some frustration.)
Done in honor of the 80th anniversary of Fantasia - I have some other artwork coming to commemorate this anniversary, and I hope to see some from other artists.
Is Fantasia the one that had the biggest impact on me? I can't quite say, but if Snow White is the groundbreaker, Pinocchio has the strongest story, Bambi the most poetic and Dumbo a personal favorite, Fantasia is definitely the most ambitious.

My all-time favorite (animated) movie!* I must've seen it several hundred times since its 1969 revival (the perfect year for something as trippy as this to attract a trippy audience).
Before there was home video I'd see it every time it played in theaters & photograph the screen until I had enough slides to fill up a projector tray. (The projector doesn't work anymore but I still have the tray; if my laserdisc & blu-ray copies go bad at the same time it'll be my fallback.)
* Hitchock's North by Northwest is my fave live-action film.
