Setting GuideThe Gatoweon Cluster
The Gatoweon Cluster is an oddity within the Aurasian Galaxy for many reasons, most notably for its resemblance to an Earthen house cat.
This cluster has been a central point in the Feliatist arguement that their alleged cat god Gatow does indeed exist, and it is from the deity that the cluster earned its name.
The area around the cluster is a vast dead-space void of stars and debris.
The stars that compose the cluster all burn warm yellows and oranges.
Any attempt to slip transient into the cluster's proximity has resulted in loss of contact, and no space vessels are known to have returned from the area, leading scientist to speculate that the entire cluster is exerting an unconventional gravitational pull.
The "eyes" of the Gatoweon Cluster are speculated to be twin black holes that formed at relatively similar times, each within vast fields of supernova-like explosions.
It is widely believed that these explosions were prolonged by the proximity to the respective black holes, and that the entire event must have ended long ago, but due to the sheer distance, is still observable today in much of the galaxy. Several observational studies utilizing long series of slip transient coordinates have refuted this belief, but their findings have been largely silenced.
Nobody understands why the cluster's "tail" moves in such erratic rhythm.
