A poem I wrote in Latin.
Here's the Latin of it;
Anima Aquae
Enim tempus volabam possumavi optavi,
Nunc sinister eo humum insto,
Cum ceterium turbam.
Sed tum meminavi
Ego sum anima aquae
Mare, amnis, sunt meus vera doma.
At etiam sentio cupido caelo,
Curro meus umbram humae adversus,
Sentio ventus numquam volavi.
Sum aquae etiam caelo posteri
Ita est illud erro sentio amo
Terrae numquam sciovi?
...and the English version;
Soul of the Water
For a time I wished I was able to fly,
Not left to stand on the ground,
With the rest of the crowd.
But then I remembered
I am a soul of the water,
The sea, the river, are my true home.
Yet still I feel a longing for the sky,
To run against my shadow on the ground,
To feel the wind I have never flown.
I am of water, yet descendant of sky,
So is it wrong to feel love,
Of lands I have never known?
