Animation Appreciation: Archie Sonic comics
ok a little cheat again, but!
we think it's important to give credit where credit is due
sorry it's a long one :p
The SatAM TV show is what inspired and created the Archie comic book series, it was the longest running uniterrupted comic book series, aswell as the longest based on a video game character, many elements of the show are continued and expanded upon in the comics, we got different and often more interesting imo, stories and characters than the games, it was great!
sadly(?) the comicbook series by archie came to an end after a, now infamous writer, responsible for creating a lot, and I mean A LOT, of characters left archie comics, and decided to take all of his characters with him, it was a massive blow to the comic, which resulted in in the series breaking it's long running streak, and forced a reboot, where those characters were essentially Thanos snapped away. The reboot did not last long and the whole comic was cancelled shortly thereafter, probably for the best tbh. Without those characters, the comic was just never the same.
However! a new comic under IDW is underway, and is more closely related to the videogames.
still sad that we'll probably not see Knothole and the freedom fighters for many many years, if ever again. Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, Snively, Rotor Walrus, and a version of Dr.Robotnik that was truely terrifying as a villian *sigh*
one of those characters: Lupe, first seen in the TV show episode 'cry of the wolf', carried over into the comics and became one of our personal favourite characters. Very strong, brave, beautiful, intelligent, though maybe a little over protective of what's hers, a fierce warrior and leader.
(though Bunnie Rabbot will always be number 1 in our books :p )
anywhoooo, here she is in a more modern setting and clothes, as she usually wears more traditional native american and Aztek inspited outfits and Locations
DON'T FORGET! NOV 17 ALL DOGS DAY!
