So it has been a while since I posted anything here!
Thought I should show case a more personal version of my avali model I have been working on for the past few months. (If you follow my twitter you could see all the progress.) This is all done in Unity and used as a NeosVR avatar. I will be releasing a public version soon once I get all the kinks out of it. What is different for the public version is it follows the anatomy as 1:1 as I can give or take a few minor tweaks. I will post a picture of it soon.
This is Raahn. My headcanon is that I would like to think he is an Earthling. He migrated to earth at a young age. Mostly with the whole augments thing he has been adapted to live there, it has also made him taller then a native Avali. He can handle earths weather, even the heat, He is well embedded with the culture.

Might I offer a suggestion for the teeth to be longer or a feather skirt? Posts https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12689618/ and https://www.furaffinity.net/view/28019314/ respectively
So the teeth, I actually followed that ref as close as I can, However I encountered a few problems that led me having to make them shorter for the jaw to shut properly with the teeth line up naturally. I did try to get 1:1 as I can, but I had to make a few compromises due to minor artistic errors from the authors. here is a close up of the mouth~ https://i.imgur.com/rPdOGHg.png I did add a feather skirt to what would work best for the model and poses with little issues, anything bigger causes a lot of headaches.. https://i.imgur.com/Gg2PsBW.jpg
Raahn up here has had a few tweaks his figure. It shape I personally wanted of an Avali being a little taller with a more up right posture, head and hands are much smaller with a narrower waistline.
You can have a sneak peak of the more accurate models here https://i.imgur.com/ZvKUIze.png This is the version I will be publishing when I am done~ The things I choose to change from the original concepts was to make the head about 15% smaller because it just looked a little weird in 3D, Same with the feet, just trying to keep the proportions as balanced and more realistic.
Over all, it is all very much a work in progress I do appreciate the feedback a lot! There are a lot of things that need to be done like more crests variations, a female texture with the stripes, and fix a lot of the shading errors as well as design a custom shader for it. I am also thinking a a painted variant for Quest users.

Thank you! :) If you wanted to see the more accurate model, see what I commented in response to emergncy-airdrop up there~ As for the model, It is around 32K triangles~ The performance in VRC has been very good with little to no performance impact at all in an empty default home. Even with the fur shader it us supposedly Quest compatible. But I cannot test that as I do not have one. I have done as much professionally to optimise it as much as possible! :)
Thanks a lot for the info! I dare say 32k tris isn't much at all compared to what some avatars on VRC have, this makes me really (patiently) excited to see the model myself and maybe even get it. Well done! (:
Not sure if I overlooked it but how do you plan on distributing the model? Do you already have a store in mind or is it just going to be a simple download?
