Yours Truly and Mr. Yours Truly
Taken at Elliott's by
Draco-silverflame, me looking as though I'm passing a kidney stone whilst Uriel does what he normally does at furry events.
There were no Gheth or collector attacks during Elliott's. You have me to thank for that.
(and normally my hair is a bit more red, yes. I'm letting it rest a bit before Megaplex)

Okay... brief list:
Used to own (now gone) --- 1946 Packard Super Clipper;
Currently own:
---- 1940 Chevy Two Door Coupe;
---- 1953 MG TD;
---- 1933 Rolls Royce Limo (owned by one of my brothers);
---- 1953 Chris Craft Capri power boat (yes... all wood!).
Right now that's about it, though I would love a 1958 Edsel.

impressive list, which I only can counter with a 1972 and 1974 Ford Taunus (there were also a 1977 Taunus Station, another '74, and one '75 sedan, a '72 Consul Mk1, and a '82 Opel Ascona).
but I think I worded my question badly. I was referring to your first comment where you referred to Uriel's look/expression compared to how you would look at a bad antique car show. :)
myself I'm partial to small gatherings, the "family" ones. there is an exhibition hall some 20minutes away from mine, where they hold an annual classic vehicles exhib, but it's not the same thing as parking your ride, breaking out the camping stool, and talk to familiar faces; most often our topics center around everything but cars. :)

Oh... Well, usually when I've participated in car shows I've been involved at checking in drivers and cars at the gate, recording entries during judging, and then wandered about taking photos.
A really bad car show for me is to be left cleaning one of these classics, by my self (tire treads; fender wells; windows; etc) before the judges walk up. All these cars are drivers (not "Trailer Queens" hidden away in a box on wheels) so they pick up a lot of junk coming in; Mostly I hate picking bugs out of the radiator vanes.
So, by the time the judges show, I'm sweaty, pooped, and I just flop down in a chair, crank up the Big Band and relax with a magazine; I tune nearly everyone out.
One time, a family member took a photo of me, at this point at a show once, and I looked about like Uriel. Just imagine me with pleated trowser, stripped shirt, classic 40's silk tie, suspenders, and a Fedora (and glasses - but no beard).

aah, I understand. I use my classics as daily drivers, I can't afford anythign modern (and wouldn't want one, anyway), and stopped caring about the dirt that comes with it long ago. :) but I can imagine how exhausting it can be when the vehicle has a lot of nooks and ornaments full of stuff and insect corpses, and on a bright sunny day, and you'd want the car look as pristine as it looked right after the restoration was finished... I would be pooped, too. :)
We're so old.....so very very old *bone creak*.
What scares me is hearing the 'yutes' refer to somebody whos in their early 30s as "Old geezers".
I yelled at one Yute at FWA who called me a decrepit old fart who belongs in a nursing home (he was 19) "I have t-shirts older than you!"

You look just like I remember from FWA! Though, I would have thought that Uriel would have been taller tbh.
Good to see you again, and hopefully if the planets align right I shall see you again at Megaplex.
Shanerous.
# Be on the lookout for a PM from me within the next week. The final editing for the podcast is coming to a head and I should have a link for you soon.

No collectors, at all, at a Furry Convention? That's even more disturbing than no Collectors from specifically Mass Effect.
I hope there were at least some Canadians there, because now that I see with my own peepers that Sir Uriel of Tallish-Like in fact a Long, Tall Being alike to the height of this Twopaw, I must keep in confident belief that Uriel will object to low ceilings on a regular basis until and unless I can one day attend, and share that excellent hug you have asked of me, and I will welcome when we meet.
That's a promise, to us both, Gen. You, Uriel, Foxena and Aramis have been and remain excellent friends to this 2Paw, and I am looking forward to that day down the road. Courage's Enterprise, and Faith of the Heart.
"The only death that truly matters is daybreak. Mais plus ca changes, plus ca meme choses, Petit Bonhomme; so your Little Sister will not let you fall nor fail. That would be far too silly to allow, and there is too much both good and kind we need care for before our work is done. And Marshall, Les Petit Geants, your inner populace with their Noonovel Napoleon, aucus plus complexe, they will accompany us, no? But in your case there is not much choice in that, Homme-Campagnes."
"For that is good. Yeah, that was good."
