Well the creativity bug hit me and I had to make a desert for tomorrow night so I thought I'd try something new.
This is one part of my cunning plan, while the custard is called a filling its tasty on its own,
pictured here a small sample while still fairly warm, (taste tested by my own fox who refused to comment but did lick the spoon clean) its still creamy and yummy, while it cools.
Keep your peepers peeled folks I'll have the second part up tomorrow, finished by the hopefully amazing final product
So here is the recipe for ~faccc2
Creamy Banana Custard Filling
Ingredients
• 3/4 cup evaporated milk
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• 3 tbsp butter
• 2 mashed bananas
• 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, and not used at this time)
• 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
1 Cook milk, sugar, egg yolks and butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick (12 – 17 mins).
2 Add banana, nuts and vanilla.
3 Cool stirring occasionally until of spreading consistency.
