What clinched the transformation for Sylph was the realization that yes, she could indeed use herself as her own pillow, anywhere and anytime she wanted. That's quite the argument against turning back.

Well -- it's more that she used to be human, and part of her story deals will obviously deal with the question of how she turns back into one. Realizing that she can be her own pillow certainly took the sting out of her transformation, is what I was more alluding to ^^;
