It's not much. There's still work to do. But it's breathing room.

"So what's this one's deal?"
"Cosmic psychopredator got in their head, probably smuggled aboard the cargo ship as it made reentry. Made them think they didn't deserve to live and so they banged their helmet and broke it open. That's the fucked up part about psychopredators, they instantly find your most sensitive areas and make you legitimately believe you should kill yourself."
"So where is the evil bastard?"
"Dead, the beast is over there."
"Wait, you mean they killed it?"
"Yeah."
"How?"
"My best guess? Survival instinct. Or maybe they felt something- or someone-mattered to them more than their own will to die. You can see the scorch marks he made in the psychobastard's head, standard issue heatcutter."
*cough cough*
"Holy shit, the dog's still alive?"
*cough cough... mnnnmm..*
"Yeah. Almost died of hypoxia but they'll live. My guess is they passed out but the ship managed to fly low enough for the air concentration to become livable. Might take a while for them to recuperate, but they'll live."

With just few elements you've made this an intriguing scene. The blue sky and brightness give a feeling of peace, yet the contrast of the wolf's broken helmet and relaxed hands resting on his stomach creates an intriguing scene. Is he convalescing after some traumatic event? Resting after a walk from a crash site? Whatever has happened he's taking in the peace. The wonderful colour gives this a soothing tone. A tantalizing scene indeed. Well done⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
