Still fooling around with doodles.
Trying to psyche myself up to love drawing again, I dunno.

I don't know. Not really either; I just want to be as "into" drawing as I was when I was younger, if that makes any sense. I used to draw like, constantly, and lately I find that I'm so critical or finicky about when what and how that I can't really bust out anything good unless it "feels" right, which happens a lot sometimes and other times not at all.
That's interesting to hear because I guess it could be said I'm undergoing a similar phase.... though one of the thing I noted that changed since before I've had such difficulty to "just art for fun" has been beginning to take on commissions. Though in my case I guess this translate more as often finding myself with the need to get other thoughts on it or sometimes just dumping a drawing if where it is going doesn't please me right from the start.
Then I guess it's also partly just life and not realizing one doesn't have all the free time they once had once they start growing up or something.
If that somehow makes senses <.<;
Otherwise, to talk about the picture itself, I like the inking-less approach of this picture. It gives it a sort of style of it's own which is actually kind of pleasing to the eye. Kinda reminds me of an old post from an artist I know who also happen to be into Graphic Design, as she was going about the use of inking or not... then it's an approach that isn't that uncommon though it might sometimes seems so. Personally I feel it can lend itself to a more unique "feel" to the picture... if that makes any sense to word it such.

That's where I am with my writing at the moment, so I completely understand. I examine the words too deeply, struggling with each phrasing. And it just feels like 'work.' So, rather than just letting lose, I stare at the page for an hour :-P
One trick I've learned is to write something I'm not accustomed to – such as switching from Weird Fiction to Romance. It forces me out of my comfort zone and I focus on the story rather than its technical aspects. Before I know it, the experiment and newness becomes fun again. I’m sure that could work in art as well – such as changing from pens to water colors, or drawing landscapes rather than anthros.

Not really. Mostly it is just annoying when people feel the need to comment on it like, out of the blue, as if I should be surprised that my eyes are the way they are. It is also a very good tell of how much people make eye contact; some people notice right away, other people can take a long time.
Heh.
Makes the mole on my face probably seem "mundane" I guess(I have a fairly large mole on the right cheek of my face... often was cause of much teasing when I was younger. I could have had it taken out, but somehow I never really decided to so I stuck with it)...
Granted, a mole is more common than something like that I guess.
Out of curiosity, though, what did you use for the picture on another note? I was wondering if it was Painter or Photoshop.
